Guys Night Out!

OK, so we all know the “girls” have their nights, so we can have ours, right?

guys_night_01

So, now that that’s settled, what to do? Dinner? Bar hopping? Clubbing? All of the above? Sure! But… who’s gonna draw the short straw and be the designated driver tonight? No one is raising their hand. So what’s it going to be… Cab? Uber? No, not tonight. There’s 8 of you, and you want to live it up in style. It’s settled… you need a limo!

party_limo_bus

So now, which limo? Well, our website can help get you started, as can a conversation with one of our reservationists, but some suggestions for you now would be the Lincoln Town Car stretch limo, the Cadillac Escalade super stretch SUV limo, and the Hummer H2 super stretch SUV limo. They can seat from 8 to 18 people. Larger group than that… go for the luxury limo bus.

Hummer_H2_limo_01

Whichever you choose, you’ll travel in safety and style, with no concerns about getting there, where to park once you’re there, and most importantly, if the drinks are flowing, you won’t be behind the wheel.

Make it a night to remember. And speaking of remembering… remember this; what happens in the limo, stays in the limo. Enough said.  So check out our OC limo fleet to find your perfect limousine, submit your free limo price quote request, or give us a call any time.  We’re always open, ready to answer your limousine questions.

Pizza & Limos?

One of the most frequent questions we get at 800 Limo Ride is “How many people can fit in a limo?”. This is a rather loaded question. It’s akin to asking your local pizza parlor “How many slices are in your pizza”? Without knowing the SIZE of said pizza, the number of slices is hardly relevant. If they offer a 16 inch pizza, whether it’s cut into 10 slices or 52, it’s the same amount of food. Same with a limousine; the number of passengers depends on which limo you are asking about, and the size and configuration of that limo.

So, when you call a limousine service, the best course of action is to simply tell them “I need a limo for “X number of people”, followed by the simple question “What are my options?”. This will get the ball rolling, and the representative on the phone would then be able to go over the various vehicle types, configurations and capacities.

They may ask if you prefer a traditional ‘sedan-based’ limousine, such as the Chrysler 300 or Lincoln Town Car, a cross-over limousine, such as the Lincoln MKT, an SUV limousine, such as the Cadillac Escalade (shown above), or the Hummer H2. Depending on the fleet of the service, you may also be offered a van-based limo like the Mercedes Luxury Coach, or a limousine based on a bus platform, like the Limo / Party bus.

Some of the choices offer the ability to stand up, some offer toilets, all offer luxury seating, bar, fiber optic lighting and high end digital entertainment systems. Your choice at this point is based on your personal preferences, and/or the recommendations of the service provider.

Hopefully using these tips, and taking the time to do a little research on the fleet(s) of the services you are considering, you will be able to come to the most informed decision possible, and snag the perfect limo for your event. And maybe on the way you can ask the chauffeur to pull over for some pizza. Whether that’s a slice or a whole pie… that’s up to you! But you may want to offer your driver some, as that’s just rude to fill a car with the smell of pizza and keep it all to yourself!

Knott’s Berry Farm Done Right

A Southern California staple for nearly a century, Knott’s Berry Farm began in 1920’s, literally as just that… a berry farm.  Later a chicken restaurant was added, which brought in the crowds, leading Mr. Knott to begin construction of the ghost town, continuing adding more and more attractions up to the present day.

Knott's Berry Farm 1

Today it’s a major amusement park, and a great place to take the family for a day of fun – with less of the crowds you’ll find at competing Disneyland and Magic Mountain.

So, how do you get there?  Fill the minivan with the family, and a few of your children’s friends?  Now that doesn’t sound like fun.  Why not rent a limo?  What better way to get there (and give the kids something to remember and talk about)?  Plus, no need to worry about traffic, parking, getting there, and finding the car when you’re bone tired at the end of the day.

knotts-01

There are many options when it comes to limos.  If you have a group smaller than 8, you may want to consider a classic Lincoln Town Car stretch limousine or Chrysler 300 stretch limo.  They can hold 8-10 passengers, and have all the amenities to keep the kids (and the adults) happy on the road.

If you have a larger group of 10 or more, you may want to consider a Cadillac Escalade super stretch limousine, or a Mercedes Luxury Coach.  There will be plenty of leg and head room in these vehicles, and all the amenities you’ll find in the smaller limousines.

Knott's Berry Farm 2

If your group is even larger than that (God help you when you get to the park!), you may want to try a super stretch Hummer H2, or a full sized party bus.  Either of these vehicles will turn heads and get attention.  And trust us… your kids won’t soon forget the trip!

Whichever vehicle you choose, you can choose to keep the same vehicle for the entire day, having the option to leave personal belongings in the car (jackets, water, snacks, cameras), or save money, and simply have one limo take you there and drop you off, and another pick you up and take you back at the end of the day.

Knott's Berry Farm 3

If you aren’t sure what the best option for your group would be, feel free to give us a call 24/7, and one of our reservationists will help you pick the right plan and type of limo rental for your budget and needs.  Or submit your free limo price quote request online to get started.  And then get ready to enjoy Knott’s Berry Farm!

Holiday Lights – Limo Style

‘Tis the season, as they say.  No matter your holiday traditions, or religious beliefs, just about everyone can appreciate the wonderful holiday lighting displays in Southern California.  And when it comes impressive holiday lights, it’s hard to beat Orange County.

OC Holiday Lights 1

There are neighborhoods that really go all out, and you really owe it to yourself to see in person this season.  A few examples of these stunning displays can be found below:

Balboa Peninsula

Brea

Buena Park

Huntington Beach

Newport Beach

Laguna Niguel

All of them are worth a visit.  Some of them are even on the water, with extraordinarily decorated boats.  You really can’t go wrong choosing any one of these.

OC Holiday Lights 2

Many of the neighborhoods have dedicated parking areas near the displays, but they fill up quickly, especially on the weekends.  Most of them can be driven through, although be prepared for traffic jams at some locations, which can take a little of the fun out of it.  And that’s where we come in, with something you probably hadn’t thought of before.

OC Holiday Lights 3

We have Holiday light tours available in all parts of the OC.  Get the whole family together, in the back of a luxury stretch limousine, and set out to see several neighborhoods, just a couple, whatever you desire.  No concerns about getting there, parking or traffic.  And best of all, while you’re in the limo listening to your favorite holiday tunes on the stereo, enjoy a “cup of cheer” on the way.  You won’t be driving, so no need to be concerned about the dangers of drinking and driving.

If this sounds like a festive way to spend en evening with family and friends, check out our website for more information on our OC limo fleet, give us a call, or submit your free limo price quote request.  Our limo reservation elves will happily set you up with the perfect holiday lights limousine for the season.

Happy Holidays, and thanks for reading!

Dinner and a Movie – Enhanced!

So the weekend has rolled around, and it’s time to catch a movie with your sweetie.  There are just a few issues to sort out first… for the movie, she want a romantic comedy, you want an action thriller.  For dinner, she wants Italian, you want a steak.  We can’t really help you with those things, but what we can do is help you get there once you’ve decided.

OC restaurant 1

Allow us to explain…  Let’s say you drive yourselves.  If the restaurant is near the movie theater, perhaps you can park in one place for the entire night.  If that’s not the case, you’ll have to allow extra time to find a parking space for both places.  Another more pressing concern is, you’re probably going to have a few drinks at the restaurant, and quite possibly at the theater too, so one of you will need to be the designated driver.

designated driver

Now of course there’s always the option of a taxi, or one of those unregulated “phone app car services”.  Sure. they’re cheaper, but you never know when they’ll show up, or the skill of the driver, so you may miss your dinner reservation, or the movie if it’s a busy night for them.  But with a top of the line luxury limousine, driven by a professional chauffeur, these aren’t concerns.

Sprinter_02

Your night will start with a pickup at your home, then a relaxing ride to the restaurant you and the Mrs. have managed to agree upon.  No concerns about traffic, navigation or parking.  And when dinner is over, that same limo and driver will whisk you off to the theater.  Leave your restaurant “doggie bags” in the car, maybe that extra coat you brought, and enjoy your movie.  And when the end credits rolls, that same limo will be waiting for you outside.  No searching for your car in the parking lot (or waiting for that “amateur car service” to show up.  Just a simple, easy elegant night out.

If all this sounds like a wonderful way to spend a special Saturday night, take a look at our Orange County limousine fleet page to choose your vehicle, then submit a free online limo price quote request, or just give us a call 365 24/7.  We’ll answer all your limousine questions, and help you choose the perfect limo for you.
